    • Recall AnnouncedDECEMBER 16 2016
    • NHTSA Reference#16V906000
    • Number Affected12
Summary: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2016 Avalon, and 2017 Camry vehicles manufactured August 3, 2016, to September 12, 2016. The front passenger knee air bag module may have been attached to the lower instrument panel with incorrect fasteners.
Consequence: If the air bag was installed with incorrect fasteners, the fasteners may become loose over time, affecting the air bag deployment and increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fasteners, and if necessary, replace the instrument panel brace and body bracket and reattach the air bag assembly, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in December 2016. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is G05.

Transmision sliping. going up hill will lose power, than tran light come on. 2005 model 2500 only 15 K on it.

it should not be slipping that soon 6 years old and 15k miles. take it to a dealer and see if there is a recall on that transmission, or if it has a 10yr/100k miles drivetrain warranty.

A light in the pannel saying p/s is on and some times the car stops working. its a toyota corolla runx

Make sure that is not a light from the shift button options on the transmission check your owners manual about how to use the transmission. I would go to autozone and read the codes and find if they are trans codes that year of car is famous for the computer that shifts the transmission failing there is a recall that toyota has to replace that for free up to 100k after 100k your on your own

I have a 2005 toyota avalon. the csv light came on along with the check engine light. we recently put new tires on (recommended size) less than 100 miles ago. any ideas on what could set off these alarms

I just had the same problem with my 2001 avalon. AutoZone told me it was code Po171 and the car was running lean. You don't have to take it to the shop right away but don't wait too long. Took it and the mechanic had to clear out the mass air flow on top of the air bonx (sp?). I guess if this vent gets clogged it can strain the engine? Hope this helps!

Engine check light

Go to AutoZone and ask them to scan the ECU for codes since you have a check light on. They'll do it for free (a dealer usually gets an hour's labor to do this), and they'll give you a listing of the code and its definition. Post those up and then we can diagnose.
