Question about 1999 Buick Regal

I have a 99 regal ls and if i try holding it at asteady speed over 35mph it would start jerkin on me til i would either mash on the gas or let off then hit the gas it would do fine all the way up til i would try to hold steady speed if you can help me out in any way i would appreciate it thanks alot.

Check engine light on or flashing ? Engine misfire an you fried the catalytic converter but that is just a guess without testing . Can't help you don't have a lot of money . Your best option , take it to a qualified repair shop an have it tested properly .Don't guess ,test .

Is your SECURITY light flashing? If so, you have a V.A.T.S. problem. VATS stands for Vehicle Anti Theft System. Try getting a new ignition key made because the resistance value has probably changed in the one you have. If that doesn't do it you'll need to get a VATS bypass.

Have a look for a hole in the block where the oil is coming from. If you have one you have blown a motor.

u need to get under the car, and undo the 2 bolts that hold the bracket in place..
i replaced both of mine, and the new ones came with a new bracklet as well as new bulbs..very easy to replace

the 2001 regal LS holds 11.7qts of coolant. hope this is what you needed, good luck. also it uses dex-cool coolant.

Check the crankshaft position sensor.It is located forward of the harmonic balancer.Quite often the bracket that holds it gets broke or loosens up allowing sensor to rub on balancer.
