If you mean you are actually burning oil and see smoke out the tail pipe then yes... it is something bigger... you need a head job or ring job

if however, you mean that oil is getting inside where the spark plugs are located then no... this is fairly common with the neon and you need a VALVE COVER set which will include the gaskets for the area around the spark plugs

Oil into water tank head gaskit new oilcool and head presser tets and stil oil in water tank what can it be

what do you mean water tank do you mean expansion tank for radiator did you flush the system when you did cylinder head as there may be some gunk left in rad or engine also there is a comon fault with the gaskets you can buy you have to buy the better ones as cheap gaskets dont seal properly also is it a automatic as the cooling system for the gear box goes into the rad there could be a small leak but its usually a seperate part to the rad

Brown sludge on oil cap and a bit in oil tank

that is water in the oil. could be old oil or gasket on head has gone check to see if there is a oily residue in the water container. if not do an oil change and check the torque on the head bolts and re tighten them. there is some stuff you can buy that repairs seal in the engine. something like stop leak. don't use thin oil. engine is old now and well warn in, 30/50 or 20/40 will do fine. but dont use 10 or 15. oil as it is to thin

I just had the head redone and it was fine at first untell it blew the intake gaskit about 3 mouth or less from the new head job and when i got it back the secound time from tis shop it smoked so i ch

A few things might be wrong ,1 they may not have plainer the head, 2 the head may be worn enough that oil is sealing into a cylinder, 3 since the head went out it's a good time to put mew valve stem seals in while the head is apart. That's if they took the head apart to do any machine work. You need to find out exactly what was done when they had your car

i would say you cooked your head gaskit !!! look for oil in water / water in oil . it wont start if water is in all bores . but if you did have it running and it was very lumpy this would explane it .

1998 VW Jetta with 2.0L 4cyl. No oil pressure or oil flow that I can see. Full on oil though, but absolutely dry in the valves. How difficult is it to replace the oil pump? Could something else be...

Did you have changed a cylinder head gasket? Possible turn around. If not need to change oil pump.It is easy.Just remove the sump but before that drain the oil because........Get new sump gasket. What about oil pressure lamp?Coming ON? If the engine runing and the lamp is ON change oil pump.

I have oil runing into the cylinders.is this a head gaskit or something biger?

It could be valve seals which can be replaced with the heads still attached to the engine block. If compression is good I would investigate that first

1994 ford tours runing hot.replaced water

If you had a crack in your head you should be losing water inside/outside the engine, the same with a head gasket, check for water running down the outside of block and the exhast for excess water discharge, I know will sould stupid but did you insert the thermostat in the correct way? spring facing downwards?. The only other thing i can think of is if you have a collapsed rubber hose somewhere.

White smoke cuming out tailpipe 3400 v6

I would almost bet you have a blown head gasket or a cracked head. White smoke at the exhaust, loosing coolant, moisture on the underside of the oil fill cap, and on the dip stick are all signs of a blown gasket. The fact that there is no coolant in the oil does not mean it does not have a blown gasket. To find out for sure remove all spark plugs, disconnect the coil wire, and then run a compression test on all cylinders. If you find one or more with low compression you have a blown gasket. Do not drive this car any longer until you get this repaired. Serious engine damage will occur if you continue to drive it.
