This is usually caused by the dimmer switch. It is really easy to turn the knob down with your left knee. Turn the knob back up.

I changed the stereo in my 1993 pajero now the dash and parking lights don't work what could this be

To start, a fuse. The radio receives a signal or feed from the interior lights so that it will dim or brighten with the interior and dash lights. during the radio installation it may be that this wire was left off and not insulated, or used as a power lead, etc.

Start by checking your fuses, the interior dash lights and exterior marker lights are on the same fuse, so start by finding a burned fuse, replace it with same size, and then do this: Without turning the key on at all, try your lights and see if they work... if they do not, and the fuse blows immediately, that wire is shorted to ground, either touching a metal part of the inner dash or hard-wired incorrectly to the radio. It may be that it was mistaken as a ground wire during the change-out.

If after replacing the fuse, the lights come on, then turn the radio on and see if it blows. Whether it does nor not, the first place to check is the last place changes were made. If you return to check the wiring to the radio and cannot find the problem, disconnect the radio entirely, turn the lights on with a good fuse in place, then reconnect the wires one by one, keeping an eye on the lights, when they go off (fuse blows), that is the wire that is either mis-assigned or can be left off. Most newer radios are all led and it is not necessary to send a signal to it from the lights. Good Luck!

2000 Chevy S10 Instrament cluster lights for gauges do not iluminate at night. Radio displays durring daylight, not after dark dimmer reostat dimms and brightens head light switch, cant find a fuse. Whats...

There is an illumination fuse located in the dash fuse box. It is typically a 5amp fuse. Pull the fuse out and see if it is blown. Try replacing the fuse and see if it blows again, if it does there may be an additional problem.
Good luck.

No instrament lighting - radio lights go out when marker lights turned on. Fuse is good.

Check your dimmer switch. Since it is located right next to your left knee, it is easy to turn the dimmer down and not notice.

Tail lights do not work but stop and turn does work

Just cause the stop and turn work don't mean the run bulbs are'nt burned out. they have their own fuse theat lights the dash the radio and the front marker lights if all of these lights are out go for the fuse the switch and the radio if its not the one that came with the truck. If only the rear lights are out and the front and the dash work the bulbs or their scockets are bad rember the tag lights are also on this wire.

Which fuse do i replace for my side marker light on 2005 silverado??? also half of my radio lights went out, can you help[

If you have just one side marker light out, it's probably a burnt bulb, those side lights are wired in with the parking and head lights, so when either the parking lights or head lights are turned on, the side lights come on also.
As far as the radio, the small bulb in there for the other half is probably blown.

2005 Chevy Tahoe Trailer Running Lights Out

Depending on what type of trailer you have, a blown lightbulb on one marker could kill them all (like the old Christmas light strings). Look at those, and make sure your ground is good.
