Question about 1997 Chevrolet C/K 2500
I replaced the fuel pump about 6 months ago along with the filter. Damp rainy weather makes it mist. Plugs and wires are good. Cap and button are good. Now the truck will struggle to start when it finally does it acts like its not getting gas or spark. Cutting out and dies. It acts like it is electrical but not sure. Looking for help. The fuel pump seems to be ok. Not sure how to check it but can hear it running.

Get a fuel pressure gauge and measure on the fuel supply line on the rear of the inlet manifold. In my experience you need close to 4Bar while cranking. Priming pressure should be about 4.4Bar. This test will eliminate a variety of possible problems. I have had a variety of problems and found this very helpful.
