Question about Cars & Trucks
I just got my car back from the smog shop and after and 1 hour of driveing around it broke down on me i tried to start it but it just starts and sputters then it shuts off i open the hood and some of my lines where gone and just laying there but i dont know where they go i need help please and some white smoke was coming out of my carb after i shut it off but it only happen once i dont know whats wrong

It is very likely the part that is giving you the problem is a Crankshaft Position Sensor, they go open circuit when they get hot, then after it cools it becomes a good circuit again, this is very frustrating, had the same issue with my Buick a few years ago, replaced the coils and the ignition module at a cost of hundreds, DID NOT CHANGE A THING, the crank sensor fixed the problem and was $30.00 from Buick.

TRY GETTING ANOTHER DIAGRAM EITHER FROM A SHOP OR THE DEALER.THOSE LINE ARE SOMETIMES INSTALLED FOR ACCESSORIES.(MAYBE YOU DONT HAVE)THATS ONE POSSIBILITY.TRY PLUGGING UP THE LINE WITH A SCREW TO SEE IF IT EFFECTS THE WAY THE CAR IDLES.BY THE WAY,CAN YOU IDENTIFY WHERE ITS COMONG FROM?

most of the time it is on the hood in the inside but you can try and get a haynes manual for your car and it usually has one in there

I would check the brake booster behind the brake master cylinder. The problem developed when braking was applied. When you shift from park to drive, your foot is on the brake. Try pressing brake without moving shifter and see if stalls. If so, power brake boost pump is bad. If it does not stall, that isn't your problem.
