This a possible ECM (computer) problem. There currently is a recall on Corollas for faulty ECM's. Check with your local dealer for details, this should be under warranty.

Have you had the electronic engine control system scanned/tested for fault codes? it will need to be scanned to obtain the fault codes, this is key to finding out what the problem may be that is causing the stall. The fault code test can be done free of charge by any Autozone auto parts store, Aamco transmission or Kragen/Oriley auto parts store. Ask for a "OBD2" (on board diagnostics generation 2) fault code test.
