Use exactly what weight is listed in your owner's manual or on the oil fill cap. More than likely you will find it requires 5w20 weight. I personally use Pennzoil and have for over 30 years with not one internal engine problem. But any major brand will be good. Also very important is the filter. Use a quality filter such as Purolator, Wix, or Bosch and avoid cheap filters. I personally use Purolator Pure One filters. Change your oil and filter every 5,000 miles and your engine will give you great service. Also change the Air Filter every 30,000 miles as it is very important to keep it clean. Change your fuel filter, if changeable, every 50,000 miles. Some vehicles have permanent fuel filters.

What engine oil do we use and at what milleage do i do the service?

Hi Jobel, I would suggest a good quality multi grade oil (5W40 or 50) and the period I recommend in our dusty conditions is 5000kl. You can extend this on some vehicle used in some places as much as double. Regards John

Would like to know if water pump needs to be changed when doing timing belt on 2004 hyundai santa fe 2.0 liter and how long of a job is it

Hi....
On your 2004 Santa Fe.
The water pump is not driven by the Timing belt.
Is not stricttly nessesary to replace togheter. they are individual.
But I recomend replace the timing belt when you replace the water pump. Because for get axces to the water pump,
you need to remove all the Timing covers.
Is just a few more minutes to remove the Timing belt.
Inspect the Engine seals, cam and crank Replace if need.
My PC show me a 2.4L 4cyl. for 2004 santa fe.

Ok.. The labor for that job Removing the Timing belt and water Pump ...IS:
2.8 hours. just the water pump 2.4 hours.

OK.. I hope this help on your question...
Thank you for use fixya..
