I would check the front motor mount, it maybe worn out. It bolts to the engine block and down by the radiator bottom.

We've bleed we've changed thermostat the water housing tank , in an o4 Sebring what's sign of bad water pump

Noise coming from water pump when engine is running, very slow or virtually no circulation of coolant in the radiator. To hear if the water pump bearing is going out..Take a long screwdriver or tire iron and touch and hold against water pump while engine is running, put ear to other end..works like a stethoscope..just be careful you have it in a steady place on water pump so belt doesn't turn it into a projectile!
if you feel like its the water pump, take serpentine belt off and see if pulley on water pump has any play up or down or front to back, and spin with hand should spin freely...if has play or doesn't spin freely or you can hear, usually a kind of whining noise coming from water pump, it needs replacing. The water pump also has a small hole onthe bottom side, if the diaphragm in waterpump goes bad it will usually have a slow steady drip coming from the hole. Have you had the radiator pressure tested?

Just changed timing belt on 2001 nissan xterra. I can hear a noise coming from intake cam and slight rubbing or grinding noise for distributor cap. Does this mean timing is off or belt is too loose /t

some of those distributors were pretty loud as far as rattle noise. could be distributor it self, but would not worry about it much until it actually completely dies. could run like this for long time.

ENGINE RATTLES AFTER PUSHING THE GAS

Poss water pump bearing, grab the water pump pulley and see if it moves side to side and up and down, if so the bearing is gone.

clunking noise may be bad steering rack. either the bolts that hold it to the frame may have worked loose, the center of your vehicle is where the steering racks located, just under the center of floorboard.under dash but on floorboard.make sense? try turning the steering wheel with engine running, place your hand under the radio, but on floorboard, when you turn the steering wheel from side to side,do you feel a thump? if so,then your steering racks loose or bad. the only way to know for sure is to have someone who knows about the steering rack to inspect it visually. thank you for choosing fixya.com

Clunking sound and service engine soon light

Hi,this sounds like air in your engine coolent, circulating in to the heater core. This is very common ,to free the air let the engine run with the radiator cap off for at least 15 minutes or more some my splash out as the air comes out.The olny worry about this is to put a pan under the radiator cap area so as to not spill it on the ground ,cats ,dogs, children go after this because it taste sweet. This has to be it or in the A/C Heat blend doors thats all that moves behind your dash.there are wires miles of wires and vacume hoses ,relays ,switchs and the back side if radio and instrument cluster ,nothing else there to make noise .I hope this helps you .

Check engine light comes on. 1996 Ford Taurus.

Hello, I would go to Autozone and get a free diagnostic check to see what codes are coming up in your system. Something as minor as bad O2 sensor can lead to a clogged catalytic converter in a matter of months resulting in bad gas mileage. So just for precaution I would get the codes ran just to make sure something minor won't become something major. To get the light to go off you can have a shop do it for you or you can unhook your battery for half an hour, then pump your brakes ten times and your check engine light should go off. I hope this gives you some guidance and help solves your question.

No interior heat / engine overheated 97 dodge ram 1500

From your description i would say the thermostat stuck closed, no heat, running hot, boiling in resavor, thermostat bad, replace. must of got real hot to makes that kind of clunking noise, I just hope for your sake thats all it is, of course i don't know the history of the truck, but right now it sounds like thermostat. There is an outside chance it could be a head gasget, cracked head, pluged radiator, thies are all worst case sanareo.
