Question about 2008 Scion Xd
My key remote of my 2008 Scion XD no longer works. I replaced the battery but that did not fix it. How can I get it to lock and unlock my doors again?
This is a hard one, it means that possible you messed the chip inside it, when you replaces the battery did you use force to open, if yes that is when you may have damaged it, only way is to get a new key frob, and that costs

To reset your maintenance reminder system (even if the light hasn't
come on yet), you'll need to turn your key to on (but don't start!) and
make sure your odometer is on TRIP A. Then key off. Press and hold the
Odometer/Trip button. While holding down on the button, key the
ignition to on (Don't start the engine!) The display panel will count
down from "------" to "-"Continue pressing the button until the Trip A
is displayed. After this step, you are done.

SOURCE: were is the oil filter
2008 Scion xD oil filter is a cartridge (element only) type. It is located under a heavy, black plastic cap right next to the oil drain plug. To remove the cap, you will need a Toyota "Special Service Tool" or an Assenmacher Specialty Tools "TOY640" or similar cap wrench. Toyota is the only source for the oil filter element; make sure you get a new o-ring (should be in the box with the filter element) and a new drain plug gasket.
