Random cylinder misfire, you will need an OBDII Scanner with MODE 6 to see what the miss count is to help find the offending cylinder.

You may get lucky and get a P0301 though P0304 code to tell you which cyling but then you may not...

Then after you find the offending cylinder you will have to figure out why its running bad... Plug, coil, injector, compression or vavle problem.

That is a code for a random/multiple engine miss fire. Normally there will be a code asscoiated to which cylinder it is, such as p0302, which is cylinder #2 miss fire. Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another can also set a P0300 code. It maybe caused by a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or vacuum hoses or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is sticking open.

97 chevy 1500 sputters at idle in gear can feel it a little while driving no cat. past 2 years run bank1 lean code plugs clean HELP

If the engine is misfiring the check engine light would be on and blinking and the engine control module (PCM) would store a fault code or codes for the cylinders that are misfiring. A lean code will not cause a misfire unless the engine has a vacuum leak most often at the intake manifold gaskets. A misfire code looks like this:

P0300-P0306 for 6 cylinder and P0300-P0308 for a V8.
P0300 indicated a random engine misfire, this can be caused by all kinds of issues.

97 caddy codes show cam timing is off causing rough idle. How do I adjust for that?

Code P0300 is not a timing code at all , it is a "Random Engine Misfire" code. Timing is computer controlled and no adjustment is required or provided for by the way. Follow the link for more info on the fault code P0300

2005 Buick Las 4 door Code p0300

Not much.
Code 300 is for a random miss. The engine computer has detected more than one cylinder that is not producing power, but no one cylinder is constant.
Until you get a code like 301 or 303 its a guessing game. 301-306 would tell you which cylinder is being the problem.
The cause could be fuel or spark.

2005 saturn ion 3 trouble code P0300

A P0300 code indicates random, multiple misfires were detected. You eliminated the possibility of ignition system faults by replacing the ignition module, the coils, and the spark plugs (unless the replacement part(s) were no good). However you did not mention the ignition wires which are another probable cause. In addition, there could be vacuum leaks due to damaged hoses or improper routing. Consider also fuel contamination or a problem with the fuel system.
