Question about 1999 GMC Yukon
Check if your brake lights are working. If they are not, then the problem is a defective brake light switch (at the top of the brake pedal arm). Most likely, this is your problem.
If your brake lights work, then you have a transmission problem which will involve more extensive troubleshooting.
