Somehow I dont see you lifting this car high enough to drop out the fuel tank to get to the pump. There are no pics or videos on this one.

You will need to drop the links that go side to side from the rear end to the body

You will need to open the fuel filler cover and remove the screws hofing the cover and the filler nec to the body.

You will ne to unplug the connector in front of the tank on the bottom of the floor metal under neath the car.

You will need to take a pair of wrenches and uncouple the fuel line about a foot away from the afore mentiond electrical connector.

Now unbolt the 2 straps that hold the tack to the car and pull it down and to the passanger side of the car, you will HAVE TO BEND THE FILLER NECK to get it loose from the car.

Now look at the top of the tank you will see a ring, with a hammer and a screw driver knock the ring so it will release the pump... pull the pump up and out and put the new pump in the way the old one came out.

reverse all you did to get the tank out to put it back

GOOD LUCK.

How to instal fuel pump on 1987 camaro iroc?

This is a big job. You need to drop the fuel tank being that the pump is installed in the tank with the sending unit . You almost need to drop the rear axle assembly out of the car to remove the tank . My best suggestion would be buy a repair manual at your local parts store .. spend the 20 bucks or so for it and then read through the process of replacing the pump and see what tools you need to do the job . After reading throught the manual you will have a very good idea of what time it takes and what all needs to be remove to access the pump .

How do i check the fuel pump on a 1987 camaro

my easiest way is to have someone listen at the gas tank when u turn ur key on. the fuel pump will not run everytime u turn ur key on but it should the first time u do. if u think u might have heard it then wait a min or so inbetween turning ur key back to the on possision. this way isnt as relighable as an ohm tester but this way u dont drop the tank to find out its good

Im trying to find out where the fuel pump is on a 1984 chevy camaro with the 2.8 6 cylinder engine

It is inside the fuel tank. To replace it you will need to remove the tank as the fuel pump access is from the top of the tank. If your going to replace it yourself I would recommend buying a manual from you local parts store.

I have a 1987 Camaro Iroc Z28 5.0 engine. I'ts

Fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. A shop can do a fuel pressure pretty easy. You could do it to, you just have to spend 50 to buy a tester, or spend 20 to have a shop do it.
