Sounds like you have a bad vacuum leak. Look under the hood and listen to where the hiss or sucking sound maybe coming from. Use your hands and move the vacuum hoses around a little and hear for louder sound. It's hard to pinpoint the exact vacuum hose but there's only a few.

How to remove 2001 escape transmission

Buy a manual. Escapes suck. AWD are worse. You can buy all the tools needed to do the job and still save money over what a garage will do it for. But you need that manual.

I have a 2001 Ford Escape. The engine will sound like it wants to start ...wah wah wah sound, but will not start. It had been a little slow to start the few days leading up to now.

I assume if there was a "check engine" light on, you would have said so. Any other symptoms in the last couple of weeks? Are the plugs getting a spark? Test that first. If so, spray a LITTLE starting fluid into the air intake and try starting. Does it start, even for a fraction of a second?

Testing the idle air control and MAF sensor might give you some idea. The othe thnig I would need to do is test the throttle position sensor, as that could also be tbe issue.

I can hear a hissing noise coming from the brake pedal on my 2002 Ford Escape. Its been there for a little while. Sometimes the brakes doesn't work properly, it feels a little spongy sometimes. But usually...

It sounds like the rubber diaphragm in the brake booster has developed a leak producing the hissing / sucking noise. The only option is to replace the booster as a complete assembly as they need specialist tools to repair. If the booster fails completely you will still have brakes but the pedal will be very hard and it will take a lot of muscle power to stop vehicle. Best to have booster replced soon before you experience situation described above.

This morning drove to pick up daughter and suddenly a loud sucking of air sound started from under the hood of my 01 ford escape, went to AutoZone and replaced a hose with a hole and the EGR(?) valve which...

Sounds like u may have clogged catalytic convertor-very common on these, causing excessive backpressure which is putting holes in the hoses. If the hoses with hole are the 2 rubber ones going to a sensor, you need to make sure you get special hose from Ford called DPFE hose. It is high heat resistant.

Yes fords are notorious for the i.a.c. or idle air control going out. At my shop we change probably 5/week. The vacume elbows tent to let the oil rot the rummer and once it sucks a hole in it the engine is getting more air than fuel causing a poor running condition. (lean) If it only idles poorly but runs fine with your foot on the accelerator, then the IAC will solve your problem. Also, pull the big breather tube off of the throttle body and see if around the round butterfly it is coated with black build-up. You can use a rag and your pointer finger to work around the sides. The factory built these vehicles so that the throttle is open the slightest bit so it will idle-when the black crud builds up around it the air is blocked from entering the engine which will also cause a poor idle. Hope this helps!

What is throubleshot p0113 at ford escape 2001

Intake air temperature sensor faulty. Depending on what engine, may be in side of air cleaner or air intake hose , or may be part of the MAF (mass airflow ) sensor. You can try cleaning MAF with tuner cleaner from radio shack or TV repair place.
