I drive a 2005 Maxima SE and I have been having problems with my panic alarm. In the past when i locked the doors with my keyfob the horn would chirp and when I unlocked it with the keyfob, the hazards would flash. Now, when I lock the doors with the keyfob I only have the hazards flash, no chirp. And also when the doors are unlocked with the keyfob, the hazards no longer flash. I attempted to change the settings back and forth and nothing changed. Those two changes I could live with but I recently tested to see if the panic alarm would work when I purposely set it off from the car and the panic alarm did not sound. I am assuming it is a fuse issue but I am not certain. Thank you for your time, and resolution would be much appreciated.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

double posted. wow.
when it beeped, did you look in the display (RPM)
it tells you why?? the VFD or EVIC tells you why.? (rpm dial)
do you park with the alarm on , on the street or a garage?????
if in a garage park and turn alarm off. it does turn off the alarm.
did you bump the panic button?
eg its under your pillow?? LOL or the cat chewed it?
read your other post, it's got lots of answer there.
to find cause.
if the horns stays off, if alarm is off then its not the horn button.
as many will say. there are 4 things that run the horn.
panic.(part of alarm but not totally)
on my car, i have most themn turned off, like the lamp flashings.
and the horn chirp is off on all my cars, all i get is the door lock click sounds, nice (neighbor friendly)
so turn all all that and see if the horn still fails.
that panic button can fail,
if mind did id pull the fob battery and then use FOB 2.
to see of the FOB fails.
your other post said driving
this one says, parked. 3am clue.
Sounds crazy but a locksmith showed me this trick. Open the trunk and remove the pretty cover under the lid so you have access to the trunk lock, there are two wires leading to the alarm for the trunk. pull that off and away from the lock mechanism and once you do that wave a magnet over the flat steel part of it. It will reset your alarm...
Hey, I bought my 1995 Nissan Maxima GLE brand new back in July 1994 with factory installed alarm, it just doen't make any sound when you arm or disarm it with remote. The only way you can tell whether it is armed or disarmed is from the lever position of your doors and the blinking red light under the dash. Only the newer versions of Nissan/Infiniti's has the "Audio/Silent" mode button on the remote which allows you to activate/deactivate you car alarm with an audiable sound or no sound at all. No worry, there is nothing wrong with your remote or car alarm.
Im no professional but i did recently buy a 93 maxima and i have the same security alarm problem and my powered locks dont work at all. im taking off the door panel today to take a look and see if the alarm sensor is loose or damaged, if it is, ill probably just disconnect it. one thing i have noticed though is that when i hit the lock or unlock button, i hear a faint click from the dashboard area which im assuming is the solenoid on a transistor which would mean that the buttons work but the transistor isnt delivering power. Semi-Solution for Locks: Listen for very quiet click when you lock/unlock doors, if you hear it, uve got major work to do, if you dont, then take apart the door and check the switch connections. Semi-Solution for Alarm: take off the door panel and disconnect the sensor.
I have been having this same issue for the past 6 months. So far no one can give me an answer that solves the problem. I have done several things unsuccessfully 1) changed the battery (still happens) 2) flipped the valet toggle switch under the steering column (still happens) 3) I lock the doors using the automatic lock button on the driver and/or passenger door (the alarm will not self-activate and go off, but this still doesn't solve the root problem with the alarm)
