The problem may be in the wiring which if you pull up the carpet on the front passenger side by
removing the door floor trim and lifting the carpet you will see the
wiring underneath. Probably laying in water or has been. Look for splices in the
wiring which will have corroded. Repair the wiring then check the fuse.
Another problem may be in the motor found inside the door. The brushes may have worn out. If so you need to replace the motor. Ususally the drivers side will fail first since it is the most used.

Try spraying silicone lube (generously) down the felt tracks on either end, as well as up sides, and see if that helps. Work window up & down.

See this alot. Sorry,It appears that is a symptom of a bad motor. If it moves an inch or so,then nothing, after a few minutes another inch or so,it's motor time!

It obviously takes more power to push the window up than to release it down. I believe that the regulator on your motor is going bad. I believe that you have to replace the entire assembly. It is actually a simple job to do though. You first have to pop the door panel off which is held on by plastic clips and three screws. Then pop the two linkages for the lock and handle out and unplug electrical you then have to take the wrap off that is held by black RTV that is used for moisture control. there should be to brass clips holding your window in that you need to pop off and release the window from the assembly and unhook the power wire for the window motor. Then there are about five bolts holding the assembly in (3 for the motor and 2 or three for the track) once you unbolt them the assembly will slide out. Then in goes the new one; you may need someone to help hold the window once you get it in place and you are clipping it in. I think the assembly is 70-90 dollars.
