If the connector is getting power but the horn aint sounding seems like the horn may need changing.... to verify this,,

1.) remove the horn

2.) connect the horn directly to your battery if nothing then change it,, if you hear something then

a.) reconnect the horn to the connector but from the ground, connect a wire from that directly to your cars body,,

b.) change relay..

Why did the horn stop working?

could be a relay fault or the horn insides have rusted up
put a multimeter on the horn wire and set it to volts then have some one press the horn button
if it reads 12 volts then replace the horn
if it reads nothing the do the exercise at the relay
if still nothing or there is no relay then the problem will be in the horn contact under the steering wheel hub

How do I repair horn in the steering column

What is the problem with the horn. Check Fuse for Horn. Check Horn it is located under the bonnet. Near the front grill of the car. Check relay for horn most likely also located somewhere in engine compartment in a plastic box compartment with numerous relays. If horn not sounding should hear relay click when horn button pressed.
If horn is getting voltage at horn plug (positively switched horn design) then horn may need replacing. If negatively switched then horn connects to body of car when button pressed and other side of circuit has Plus 12 volts always on it.

Horn not working. fuse is fine. Maybe horn relay ?

You can test the horn itself by running a jumper wire to the positive post of the
battery for a second to test it, there is a single terminal with a spade connector to touch
the jumper to on the horn.

The contacts in the steering wheel may be bad also due to the age of the vehicle.
You can unplug the horn wire and test it to see if
you are getting voltage to the horn wire when someone presses on the horn.
you can test this with a 12 volt test light or a volt meter.

If the relays are identical in the relay box, you could swap two of them around to check
relay out.
Hope this is useful

My 89 wrangler horn is not working. what should I do first

Assuming the fuse is ok,(thinking it's dome light also)
Unplug the horn itself and check for 12 volts when the horn is applied. This will check the horn .
If there is no power there, you will have to check either at the steering column connector,(for ground when the horn is applied)
Or at the relay for ground on the control side and 12 volts on the
output side.
You should be able to hear the relay click when the truck is off(ign,on) That's a much easier way to check the relay!
I would more suspect the horn itself ,due to winter salt and such.

I have a 2001 stratus and the horn doesn't work. When I press the horn I hear a clicking sound. The fuse is OK, what's the problem

The clicking sound you are hearing is the horn relay engaging trying to supply power to your horn. Most likely horn itself needs to be replaced. Locate horn underneath in front near grill. With test light check for ground & with someone pushing on horn switch, check for positive. If you have good ground & power when pushing on horn switch need to replace horn.

Horn doesnt work

Lift the hood of the truck. Locate the fuse box and lift the cover. Check the horn fuse listed on the cover of the fuse box. If the fuse is blown replace it. Have someone press the horn and listen for a faint click from the relay or swap the relay with another one with the same part number (IGN or AC) to test the relay. If you hear a faint click the horn switch on the steering wheel is good. If the horn works after swapping it with another, the relay is bad and you should order a new one. Remove the horn connector and check the voltage with a 12 volt lamp connected to the two wires or a volt meter when someone presses the horn switch. You can also directly wire the horn to the battery to see if it sounds. If it does not sound the horn is defective. If you do not have voltage check the black ground wire on the horn connector to see if it has zero ohms, or if you connect the 12 volt lamp from the black horn wire to the +12 of the battery the lamp should light. If not your ground wire is bad. I hope this helps you find your problem, but if you have any questions post a comment and I will answer your question.

There is a horn switch in the steering wheel, not the clock spring. Check that out Sounds as though you pressed the horn to get your readings. Unplug to horn and put 12v to it!!

Horn does not work

hot wire the horn direct to the battery to check the horn. If it works check the relay if you know how to do that. A green wire should be there connected towards the steering column. Test the voltage output from that wire when someone presses the horn pad. If no readings shows on the volt meter the relay is at fault. If 12 volts show as a reading the horn contacts are bad

95 range rover horns stopped working relay still clicking?fuse ok

If you have access to a volt meter turn it to dc volts and unplug the horn have some one activate horn while you check the volts. should have around 12volts. If you do its the horn itself.

Check the fuse for the horn.
Check the wires have not just come loose on the horn.
Next, if you have a volt meter, disconnect the horn, and connect the wire for the horn to the meter.
Have someone press the horn button.
If you have a reading of 12 volts or better, the horn is dead, if you have a reading of less than 12 volts, the the horn relay is likely faulty.
That is the item that is clicking as you reported. Just because it is clicking does not mean it is passing power through.

Hope this helps
