Would like to know what electrical amps this travel trailer uses at camp sites

Sure would be helpful if you'd say more about the trailer... like what MAKE of trailer it is, what YEAR and SIZE of trailer it is... but never mind that. SIMPLY LOOK AT THE PLUG. IF IT IS A BIG APPLIANCE SIZE PLUG WITH FOUR PRONGS, IT IS LIKELY A 50 AMP PLUG, AND IF IT IS A BIG APPLIANCE SIZE PLUG WITH THREE PRONGS, IT IS LIKELY A 30 AMP PLUG. If it is a regular size three prong plug (like you'd plug into the wall), it is a 15 Amp plug.

How to wire truck battery to trailer battery

There is a kit available that ensures the engine battery will not run down with the trailer battery. They are available at camping stores and on line. Here's one of many;

Vehicle towing capacity chart

A) Depends on the hitch you have and what it is rated for. Most car hitches (non truck or SUV) have a tounge weight rating of 500 LBS. This is the weight that is put on the actual connection of car and trailer. B) To not kill your transmission, do not exceed a total trailer weight of more than 1/2 the vehicles curb weight. (Dry weight of car full of fuel) Car transmissions and frames were not originally designed for towing, and exceeding 1500 LBS total trailer weight is considered dangerous (can get trailer weave and sway easily) and will cause excessive strain on drive train components. U-Haul has an online guide that will basically tell what type of trailer you can haul and its maximum allowed weight.

The VA is buying me a new power wheelchair. The chair alone is about 375 pounds. They are going to install a Reese hitch and a carrier. I purchaced a Rear Power Chair Load Leveling & Air Suspension...

the system your describing is fine for your vehicle, just remember that the car will turn and drive a little different from the standard weight schedule and factory specs,, however , it will be just like having 2 Big adults in the vehicle all the time, so you should have no worries, the ****** weight your seeming to be worried about is within the limits, here is that described
If the ****** of the trailer does not exert enough downward force on the tow vehicle's hitch ball -- meaning that the trailer's ****** weight is too light -- a dangerous condition called trailer sway could result. If the ****** weight is too heavy, the steering of the tow vehicle will be affected.

How many cylinders does my 1999 honda oddyssey have? We are looking to buy a 18 foot travel trailer for camping and want to make sure our 1999 Honday Oddyssey will be able to pull it. Thank you!

It should be a 3.5 liter V-6 cylinder (Six) Your owners manual should say what it can handle. Or, ...many trailer sales sites can look up your vehicle and tell you what it is capable of towing.

I have an 03 Toyota Sequoia, 4.7L V8, factory installed hitch receiver and wiring. The manual says it has a towing capacity of 6500 lbs GVWR. I have been towing a popup trailer weighing 3000 pounds with no...

I think the tongue weight rating on the stock hitch is 600 lbs, so you are over that. You probably want to level out truck to handle better when towing, so the best way is to get air bag helper that raises the back end.
