SOURCE: Sliding door fails to latch

There is no "switch". The Sliding Doors should be manual anytime you try to open or close them. If not: then there is problem in the electronic system or the physical/mechanical side where something is jamming the door from opening or closing.

My passenger side door would not close. The mechanic reprogrammed it with the instructions in the handbook. So far it is working OK after one month. Good luck

power door motor draw is probably 5 amps where a starter draws 600 amps . That accounts for why one motor will work but the other wont. Check the door position sensor for correct adjustment and operation.. have a load test done on the battery to check for failing cell

In the passenger side fuse box you need to pull out fuses # 24, 25, and 14 to disable the sliding power doors. They don't work well and the dealers cant seem to fix them so that they stay fixed. Just operate the doors manually.

How do i reprogram the power sliding door on a 2005 buick terraza

From the owner's manual:

If your vehicle has

the dual power sliding doors, both doors will have

to be reset. To reset a door, do the following:

1. Check to be sure the power sliding door is

unlocked and securely closed.

2. Turn the ignition to LOCK.

3. If the power sliding door overhead console

switch is in the override (deactivation)

position, return to the activation position.

4. Open the sliding door using the remote

keyless entry transmitter, overhead console

switch, or passenger switch. Allow the door to

travel fully open.

If the door does not travel to the fully open

position, press the overhead console switch to the

override (deactivation) position and slide the

door fully open and closed. Check for foreign

objects in the tracks. Repeat the procedure starting

with Step 1. If the door resists travel to the fully
open position, see your retailer for service.

2006 dodge Grand Caravan power door wont open automatically, makes clicking sound.

These automatic side doors are extremely complicated and require a trained technician to repair wit the factory repair guides to go by, there are many adjustments to be made and sometimes that is all they need plus some cleaning and lubrication of the latch and moving parts. My best advice is let the dealer fix this.

Pull the 15 amp fuse for the doors and go to manual open and close. Fixing the alignment only works for a short while. Remember to turn switches to manual .

My 2008 buick terraza sliding side door will not shut properly and continues to open, the chime continues to go off even when the car is turned off....we have had to unhook the battery so that I don't have...

you could try another dealer, as long as they are a general motors dealer they can work on cross line models and maybe have a better Technion. it is worth the money as long as they fix it.

Try cleaaning the door contact plate and contacts. I used light steel wool and alchol. If this doesn't work the door contacts may need to be replaced.
