Question about 1997 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
Try replacing the fuel pump relay. It should be in a black plastic box under the hood in the engine bay near the firewall. Remove the black plastic cover and flip it over. There should be a diagram sticker so you can find the location of the fuel pump relay, pull it out and psh the new one in. You may have to wiggle the old one slightly from left to right to loosen and remove it. Then try to start the engine but it may take 2 to 3 seconds or more for the pump to prime.
