Depends on why its leaking. If you have to rrplace the pump its costly, if its the line a pain to remove the old one depends if its input from tank or to the engine compartment. You may get lucky and loosen and clean the fitting and tighten back down and have it fixed.

Does a 1983 porsche 944 2.5L have a fuel shut off switch if so where is it located

I would jump the fuel pump relay first. If it starts replace the relay. Or fix it. Bad diode in it. $50 compared to 50 cents. Done many of them.

Sounds like a fuel filter problem, or fuel pump. Also have you ever had the injectors checked? I had the problem you've described and found both the fuel filter needed replaced, and the injectors cleaned and adjusted.

If I test the fuel pump on a 1991 porsche 944,outside of the fuel tank, should the pump run continuously or make a short buzz?

it will make a short buzz to pressurize the fuel lines then it will work when your driving to keep the pressure in the line. it should only go contiously if you have big arftermarket fuel pump for drag/race cars but street cars will do what isaid above.

I need to replace the fuel pump on a 1984 chevy celebrity 2.8/V6 but I do not know where it is located. Also does this car have a fuel filter? I have searched and cannot find one.

84 celibrity has a carborater and the filter is in the carb. where the fuel line connects to it. Follow this metal line down past the timing cover and the other end screws into the fuel pump thats connected to the side of the engine block near the oil pann gasket on the belt drive end of the engine it has some brackets surounding it for the power steering pump and it's hard to get to and lots of other stuff needs to be removed to get to it. When their bad they leak oil too and sometimes they leak gas into the oil.195379185.jpg
