Sonata Gold - Whining noise when power steer in AC On mode

Hi I have a Hyunda Sonata Gold.. The problem is that when the Air conditioner (ac) is on and when it is on If I move steering to right or left then there is a continuous whining/ chrich-chrich-chrich sound... If I don't move power steering there is no noise even if ac is On. Now If the ac is off and if I move power steering there is no noise. So the noise comes only when ac is on and that also when while in ac on I move power steering.... If ac is on and I dont touch steering noise will not come... I have changed the Timing Belts Alternator fan belt and the Power steering belt ... I have got the ac compresor serviced and oiled... Is this noise from alternator fan belt slipping noise? Please help urgently...

Tighten, your need to tighten the power steering belt a lil bit more, not to much to stretch it but just enough to overcome the resistance of the pump

SOURCE: Power Steering Noise

use what the manual suggest to use. it should be standard power steering fluid. do not use ATF. ATF is automatic transission fluid.
you only use this if the manual says to usually only on a merzades.
the wining noise could be the pump breaking it's self in. it will do this for a while untilt he pump is completley broke in and is used to the being used.

SOURCE: Elantra Steering Wheel Noise

Check and make sure that your power steering fluid is topped off. Could possibly problems with your power steering pump. Mine does the same and the fluid is full. I just keep an eye/ear on it. If it continues to get worse than it could be the pump going out. If the fluid is allowed to get too low, it could possibly get air in it affecting both the "feel" of the steering and making a noise.

SOURCE: power steering noise

The belt is almost assuredly to tight and needs to be loosened just a hair. It is hard sometimes to get the tension just right. Try looseneing it a bit and hopefully that will help. I have had the same problem in the past.

have you put a different type of power steering fluid?

in some instance, if they put a different type of fluid, the solution bubbles up and makes a whining noise when you use the car.

Remove air compressor

It looks like the ac belt also runs the power steering on the 1.5 engine. Removing the belt would cause you to loose your power steering. You could still drive the car, but not without difficulty.

Aircondition makes whining noise

It would depend on where the noise is coming from.
Could be a belt, the compressor, or the blower motor.
The blower would be noisy in both ac and heat mode.

1992 Honda accord, whining noise, near belts when car is on.

It is most likely your power steering pump. Of the three items that have belts on that side of the engine, the power steering is on the top, then the alternator right underneath, and then the AC compressor is way down on the bottom (if you have AC). Make sure you have enough power steering fluid in the reservoir. If you need to fill, make sure it's approved for use in Honda engines. If you think the noise is coming from under the black plastic that is right on the side of the engine, you need to take it in to get looked at ASAP. That could be a bad water pump or belt tensioner and if one of those breaks your engine will get trashed.

Car is running high oil pressure between 60 to 80. it runs it always high and kinda makes a whining noise. its a camaro ss 2002

The oil pressure is normal. A whining sound could come from anywhere on the vehicle from the power steering, alternator, auto transmission, the water pump or even the air conditioner. It could be the power steering pump. Check this by moving the steering wheel back and forth. This will put load on the system and it will increase the whining if it is the problem.
