Question about 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Open Question

Ac problem - 2002 trailblazer. We have 160000 miles on our tb. Our current issue lies with our ac. Our problem started when my husband jump started the dead battery two days ago. Since the jump the ac has stopped working. We had a mechanic look at the ac he believed it may be an electrical problem as the compressor appears to be working fine. The ac blows warm air out of the defrost vents only and none the controller keys are functioning (i.e. The ac push button re-circulating and defrost buttons and settings knob).

SOURCE: The Air flows through only the defrost and feet vents

Inside the ventilation system there is gates that open and close to direct the air flow. These are operated on vacuum on most vehicles. The hose for that perticular gate may have disconnected somehow or has a hole in it. I suggest you take the heater controls out and see if there is a plug with a series of colored hoses on it. it so you'll have to trace each of them to see which one is the problem. Now you may be able to get some help from you local dealers mechanic who just may know the color code for that gate. (which would be a bonus) Good Luck

SOURCE: 06 trailblazer a/c only blows out the defrost and

Probably a vacuum hose. cheap fix if that's it. Go to your local parts store. The vacuum hose on the AC is what pressurizes the airflow, this is most likely the problem.

SOURCE: ac and heat will not blow threw vents just floor and defrost

Sounds like your selector switch is messed up to select where you want the flow of air to go. When you turn the switch to where you want the air to go does it work on floor and when you turn the switch to vent it doesn't?

SOURCE: AC/Heat/Defrost inoperable

Chanses are its either the blend door motor quit working or the controls ( temp., selector, blower) in dash are bad, my 95 did the same thing i chg. the blend door motor thinking it was that, but it turned out to be the controls in the dash, 5 minutes work and 140.00 later it was fixed.

After disconnecting trhe battery in my 2004 Trailblazer, and reconnecting, the vehicle idles very unstable especially when I turn on the AC.It shuts down when AC is engaged. Please help me to resolve

This is one of the most common problems with our TB's. All you do, is clean your throttle body with carb cleaner, with the battery disconnected. Cleaning the throttle body is a must to fix this problem. Then hook the battery back up and drive for around 5 miles, you're problem will be fixed.
