If it stays on and the car starts you are in bypass mode.
Some times remote starting alarms have a switch under the console to put a car in this bypass mode.
If not pull the battery for 5 min. and relearn your key.
If still no luck you are me and you got a code in a BCM or PCM.
Just from changing a battery.....Love GM....well in the 60s maybe
