It sounds like it's just a link in the hose i would replace that and bleed your clutch to make sure there's no air in the line and go from there, hopefully this solves your problem
Depending on the year/model it could be be a vacuum leak at the brake or clutch pedal switch or faulty pedal angle sensor on later models. You haven't stated which year your car is.
The Clutch Pedal Position ( CPP ) Switch is near the brake pedal. It has a 6 pin connector on it ( all 6 pins are in a line ) that has 4 wires from it. Black w/ white stripe is a ground Tan w/ light blue stripe is the clutch pedal position sensor top travel Black w/ white stripe is a ground White w/ Black stripe is the clutch pedal position sensor bottom travel. I think this is what you are talking about, if not please let us know
Maybe the temperature-sensor is dirty or damaged. It's located in the center-console on the right hand side. Volvo normally fix this by exchanging the whole AC-Console ($1000) but it's possible to solder in a new sensor (about 50ct).
But try first to clean the sensor with a vacuum-cleaner.
It could be a case of a worn out clutch pads and lining, There is one adjustment for your clutch it is located under your dash, at the end of your clutch pedals arm and right about where the pedal arm pivots. You adjust it real slow, snall turn makes a big difference. good luck
