Ford explorer limited '07 check engine light problem

There's a light on in the dash that looks like a U with some squiggly lines in it any ideas? I don't have the book

That seems to be the tire pressure monitoring system warning light.

    Check your tire pressures. There are sensor inside of your wheels, that tell the car what pressure they have. So if your tire pressure is low or too hi, it will can set this light. Those sensors are notorious for going bad, so you might need to take it in for a better diagnose. But there is no harm in driving with this light on.

    Yes that is the light it blinks for a while then goes steady. Also it flashes Tire Fault in the box that displays the odometer and gas info

    So, you most likely have a bad sensor. If you take to a shop that have tools to test this system, they can check which sensor is causing the problem in less that 10 minutes. They might charge a little more since they need to use a special too/computer to check this system.

Check in the owners manual, this is most likely the factory system, to confirm that it is not factory check for any disturbed wiring under the dash on the drivers side, pull the hush panel off from under the dash to have a look for the tell tale wiring

It is located under the hood. You will need someone that has a scanner that will read a Ford EEC-IV system

2003 ford explorer check engine light is on and stalls . Spark plugs have been changed. But problem still continues


Go to autozone and use their code reader. This should give you a general idea what the problem is. The code reader is attached with a cable to a diagnostic port under the edge of the dash.

07 Ford Traction Control


2 wheel drive refers to the rear wheels.
The traction control feature applies the brakes to the wheels that are spinning due to lack of traction so that they can slow down and get a grip or traction, if its in 2 wheel drive the system will pulse the brakes and you will hear and feel the system engage usually a buzzing vibration and an indicator light will come on the dash to tell you its engaged
