I have a 2004 Toyota Camry Solara v6. recently my instrument panel lights are on the fritz. When my lights are turned off, my clock, thermometer, and radio lights are on. When i turn on the headlights, all 3 of the above mentioned panel lights turn off, and also i have no lights on the instrument panel. The headlights work fine and i have checked all of the fuses, so now i am lost. Would this be a short in the system or a computer problem? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated as this is my wife's car and her safety is priority #1 to me. Thank you
The oil filter is located under the exhaust manifold in the front of the engine on top near the radiator loosens. It can be removed by turning to the left tightens the opposite.
Good Luck
did you check the 2 multiconnectors on the back of the dashboard, normally they are fitted with bolts, when bolts ran out you wil loose all info and lamps. good luck

The dash lights are connected to the park lights. Check to see if the park lights come on. If no park lights, suspect a fuse or wiring issue. If park lights are ok, try slapping your hand on the dash area above the instrument panel to see if the lights come on/flicker. If there is a change, the instrument cluster assembly/electronics are the most likely cause of this problem
Hi Neddy, The fuse for the rear lights, marker / parking lights and instrument panel are located inside the car under the dash panel. behind a cover which has a fuse directory printed onto it. Look for INST and that should be the fuse. Regards John
The odo-button dance procedure to reset the light is listed in Page 122-123 of the US 2004 Toyota Prius Owner's Manual (Section 2-5 "Operation of Instruments and Controls: Gauges, Meters and Service Reminder Indicators", item (j) in the "Service reminder indicators and warning buzzers" section). It should be listed in a similar section in your Toyota Camry Solara's Owner's Manual.
Correct. This panel is held on tightly and plastic interior pryors help. One it is started tho it will come off. Some control knobs come off too. The heaterr controller once out then needs to be taken apart carefully to reveal the little bulbs. These are unique bulbs not run of the mill. I don't think they are the same as the dash bulbs.hth
The PWR light is controlled by a switch located near the shifter...when you press it down, it turns on that light in the instrument cluster...when the PWR is on, you will have faster acceleration while taking off from a standstill
On the lower left hand side of the dash, near the Traction control button, is a small push button. Just press and hold until the Tire Pressure light goes out. Of course, make sure you're pressure is ok, otherwise, it will just come back on in a couple minutes.
