The most these trucks take is six and a half U.S. quarts of oil.The safest way to know for sure is to drain all the oil out, remove and install a new oil filter, then install five quarts of your preferred oil.Start the vehicle up and let it run for thirty seconds, then turn it off.Pull the dipstick out and check the level with the engine not running, then top off the oil as necessary.Run it for five minutes to verify that there are no oil leaks, Then Happy Motoring!!! Hope I could help!!!

Three buckets? Oil normally sold by the quart or gallon ... I would expect to put 5 quarts in a modern 6 or V8 engine.

Change the oil .. change the filter ... put in the drain plug ... put in three quarts ... start the engine ... let it run about a minute or so ... shut it off ... check the dip stick ... probably low ... put in another quart unless the oil is in the hash mark area. run the engine again until the oil light turns off ... check again ... do not over fill ... the hash mark area normally represents one quart ... fill to the top of the hash mark area. Check your owner manual for type and grade of oil to use for your driving conditions.

Most engines take in the range of 5 to 6 quarts. You didn't say what size the engine is but if you get 6 quarts that should be plenty. Check the dip stick after the 4th quart. By then it should be showing and add from there. Don't overfill it. The filter usually takes about 1/2 quart so check your oil after you run the engine for a minute or so and top it up. If you are buying liters they are a little smaller than a quart. Hope this helps.

Where is the oil filter on ford fusion 2.3l

IF IT'S LIKE THE MAZDA 3 IT IS A FILTER CARTRIDGE. MAY HAVE TO REMOVE SPLASH
SHIELD AND LOOK FOR PLASTIC HOUSING WITH
END CAP. YOU WILL NEED OIL FILTER WRENCH
(75.6 OR 76MM) TO REMOVE IT. AUTO ZONE HAS
CARTRIDGE AND WRENCH.

Oil & filter change

If there is a Auto Zone around your area, you can get the oil and filter there with the step by step  instructions needed to get the job gone. There is a oil filter wrench for you to buy to remove the old oil filter, buy the oil filter cup that attaches to the ratchet, the other wrenches tend to crush the filters. Keep me posted be glad to answer any questions and give you instructions to the oil change procedure if Auto ZOne could not help you or there is not one around you.

My oil filter is leaking and it is tight

If anyone else has this problem, I'm betting its your oil filter adapter gasket. Of course check to see if the problem is just a bad oil filter seal but mine was not. The oil filter adapter is like 10 - $15 at Auto Zone or Napa. If you feel you can't do the job yourself then take it to the auto repair shop. It's only four bolts and change out the gasket but you must drain the coolant cause the water run through the same housing and it's kind of a pain to get to on the vehicle. Napa gasket p/n is 70801
