I have this problem from time to time, usually associated with moisture. All I have to do is turn on the headlights and the climate control comes back to life. Hope this helps.

I had similiar issue and also had problems with killing batteries. I changed the alternator to one made for a ambulance and I have not had any weird electrical issues again. After changing the alternator I found the truck had increased power and the radio also seems to work all the time now. Shifting has also changed to be more smooth and consistant. When original alternator was tested it was said to be functioning normally. I have since purchased another Escursion diesel and found they had sold it because of similiar issues. Once I changed the alternator everything now works and no issues. All systems work as if it were new. I made a guess at this issue because of constant issues. It worked and would recommend this fix to everyone having weird electrical issues.

have a load test done on the battery to check that you are not trying to charge a bad battery. Have the output of the alternator check . Check drive belt condition and tension.

CLIMATE CONTROL PANEL HAS NO POWER

Unhook batteries and leave unhooked for at least 1 hour or overnight if possible. When you hook the batteries back up your climate control should have power.

My excursion cuts off when put in reverse

IS A GAS OR DIESEL? IT COULD BE A LOTS OF THINGS, POSSIBLY NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH, IT COULD BE AN IAC (IDLE CONTROL MODULE) MOTOR, & LOTS OF OTHER THINGS DEPENDING ON IF IT IS A GAS BURNER OR A DIESEL ENGINE.

I have a 2003 excursion with a 7.3 powerstroke. My entire climate control unit is dead. No Heat, no AC, no defrost... The AC was blowing cold yesterday too. Any ideas?

Did you find anything out on this question? I have the EXACT problem with excursion. Would love to find something out.

The inside front fans run on high only .

I am guessing it has eatc. The blower speed controller is shorted causing the blower to stay on all the time. Replace the controller and you should be good to go. It is located under the hood on the evaperator case. Good luck.
