Question about 1999 Plymouth Neon
P0172 means air-fuel ratio too rich, malfunction. How it works will take to long but what you have is a problem with either the fuel system or the ignition system. Without a scan-tool to view codes, live data, and run tests. It will take longer. You can look the engine over, see if there are broken vacuum lines, a need for a tune-up, damage to some part of the exhaust system. I wish I had more to say but it could be anything. You know you could have a stuck EGR valve. Hard to say, good-luck.
