If you are going to do this get the new ones and look for the mounting points. usually there are four. sometimes bolts sometimes a stud on the light uses a nut to secure. some cars require the bumper be removed to do this. don't hesitate to remove the bumper cover. it is very easy to do. get back with me and i can walk you through it.don't forget to aim the light after you install them. good luck

How do i remove the head light on a 2008 chevy Malibu

Headlights grow dimmer by up to 20% over time and eventually burn out - for this reason, we recommend changing your headlights in pairs. Changing both headlight bulbs on your Malibu at the same time will allow both bulbs to have the same intensity and prevent the new headlight bulb from appearing brighter than the bulb on the opposite side. In some Chevrolets, the highbeam is the same bulb as the headlight and it is possible for the highbeam to work, but the headlight be burnt out even if they are the same bulb (and vise versa). Some Chevrolets have high intensity discharge headlights, sometimes referred to as xenon lights. These bulbs have a very high voltage that runs through them, even if the battery is disconnected. If your Malibu has this type of bulb, we do not recommend that you attempt to change it yourself.

When you change the headlight on your Malibu, it is important to not touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers because the oil from your fingertips will cause that part of the bulb to burn hotter, which significantly shortens the life of the bulb.

Hope this helps! :)

2003 Chevy mlibu, headlights won't turn off, which is draining my battery everytime the car engine is turned off. Where is the fuse for the headlights located and which fuse is it?

your malibu should have DRL, or daytime running lights. there are several fuses and relays associated with them. there are a few under the hood in your fuse box. just look for the diagram under the fuse box cover and locate the DRL or daytime running lights. hopefully that will help

How do you change the headlight

There are either 2 bolts to remove or 2 clips to pull out, then slide the headlight assembly out, disconnect wiring and your set.

Change out headlight on 2003 malibu

the bulb should unscrew (1/4 turn counterclockwise) from the back of the lens. if you cant get to the back of the lens then there should be tabs made of sheet metal (1 inch wide) that you can pull up (probably 2 on each headlight) and the lamp will pull out of the front of the car so you can reach the bulbs that way.

Hope this helps!

To replace the headlight bulb, remove the front wheel and inner fender liner. You'll now have access to the rear of the headlamp and the rest is plug and play.

underhood at light there are two plastic slide pins on top of assembly. pull up on the pins to release assembly. then pull assembly from car, now you can replace the bulb. when putting back on, push in on assembly and push the pins down to hold it in.
