It is below the A/C compressor, above the power
steering pump. It's the silver pump in the picture below with the 3 gold bolts in it. You'll need to remove the belts, water pump pulley, timing cover, it will help to get to stuff thru the passenger side wheel well.

I have a volvo 940 1994 and I have replaced the water pump but it is still overheating sometimes which makes me think of the thermostat and if so where is it located and I want to replace my timing belt is...

if the thermostat is broken the fan should keep turning. Check the fan if it spins once you get the car warmed. Otherwise it could be a blown fuse or relay for the fan or the fan itself may be bad. Check the radiator hoses and the radiator cap for loose or worn parts. Steam may escape there decreasing the water in the cooling system. The problem could be also be with the water pump. If you are to replace the timing belt have the water pump replaced since you will spend the same effort getting to both the timing belt and water pump. It is recommended that this be done by a specialist to avoid damaging the engine.

Broken timeing chain on a 1998 Nissan Maxima

Assuming you want to know about replacing it, I'd suggest you have it done by a qualified mechanic, (unless you very familiar with engine repair and have a good set of tools). It's not an inexpensive repair, (it'll be over $500.00). I'd suggest, however, that you have the water pump replaced at the same time. The timing belt and water pump are located next to each other and most of the repair cost is for labor getting access to the belt and pump.

Car died, water runs out side of car below timing belt, belt doesn't appear to be broken

Ouch sounds like your water pump is broken. That can be really a bad thing. The belt doesn't have to be broken for the water pump to be ruined. Check your oil... as long as your oil isn't milky looking meaning your car overheated and ruined the heads or seals then you should be okay at getting the water pump (and timing belt as they go hand in hand) replaced.

Water Pump Location/Issues '87 Accord

Location: left-upper area of block, front

To replace water pump:
1) remove timing belt
2) remove thermostat housing and water pump inlet pipe
3) remove alternator bracket
4) remove water pump and O ring

Pump bushings could be going out if the technician is not properly setting belt tension.

Vibration could be either severe engine miss or, most likely, you should check all engine and transmission mounts for broken rubber.

Water is leaking above water pump against block but i can not see. i reveved up car now when i put water in just comes right out but i cant see behind the water pump in the upper area is ther a hose behind...

could be the weep hole located on back of water pump right on top if its leaking its probably pissing out if this is the case its time to replace the hoses are on both sides but sounds like if u cant see and its behind pump its the weep hole try using a small mechanics mirror to take a peak with engine off you should see a antifreeze water mark indicating the leak

Leaking water down the side of motor from the head gasket

it can possibly be a broken gasket seal in your water pump, i recommend that if this is the problem replacing the timing belt and water pump at the same time. i have a 1987 toyota camry station wagon as well and the same thing happen to me, if its leaking from teh side, its most likely the waterpump which is located underneath the alternator and attatched behind the timing belt
