Question about 1992 Mazda MX-3
Where is the crankshaft position sensor located on a 1992 Mazda MX-3 1.6L?
Katdaddy21 is correct. Look down low by the crankshaft pulley. The belt may have to be removed to replace the sensor. Now, the CAMSHAFT position sensor is inside the distributor, at the bottom. Both sensors can be meter tested.

Solution #2 was right. The comment was not. It is inside the distributor. Some engines as stated in solution #1 are one the engine block but not this engine, it is in the distributor.

Look toward the bottom of the engine around the crankshaft pulley it is very near that pulley it will have a wire harness connected to it.
