I have a 2006 Ford Freestyle with 70K miles. My vehicle feels like it drives itself when put in reverse and its hard to stop even pushing the brake. My car has started to stall out when put in reverse now and takes a few tries to start it. My check engine light has come on and the codes revealed are P061B and P2106. What needs to be fixed?

No solution. Just got the EXACT same issue last weekend. myfordfreestyle notes said to remove air intake and clean throttle body with basic tb cleaner. seemed to help, but getting some more engine reving during routine shift into park situations.

Any ideas out there? =H

No solution...but I'm sad to say I'm having the exact same problem. My Freestyle is just over 71,000 miles. That is really weird. If I find out what's wrong/how to fix it I will share!

Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Ford Freestyle - 2006 - Limited. After a 130 mile highway speeds 70 to 85 MPH the vehicle emitted OIL fumes enough to fog the back of the vehicle with a thin film of carbon black and oil file.

It could be a number of things.
Bad head gasket.
Worn rings.
Valve seals or guides or both.
Do a compression check of the cylinders that should help pinpoint the problem.
Hope this helps.

The odominater cluster light is out cannot read miles

The cluster lights you are referring to are dimmed/brightened using the interior light selector near your headlight on/off switch. Try rotating or toggle the selector until you feel or hear a slight click and you then should have lights again.

My car when I drive it feels like there is an earthquake in my front seat. My check engine light is also on. Its a 2006 Ford Freestyle V6 with approx 61,000 miles on it.

I would check your tires for a seperation, and then diagnose your check engine light to see what trouble code its storing. Hope this helps.
