Don't think I've ever seen "too much" battery....The higher the cold crank amp rating (cca) the better off you are. The important thing is to use a battery that will not interfere with anything near it and will not touch the hood when it's closed. Also important is to begin with a fully charged battery. It takes very little work for an alternator to keep a good battery charged, regardless of size... A discharged battery will continually overwork the alternator, robbing horsepower from the engine and quickly burning the alternator out. Another battery tip is to keep it clean and put it on a two amp external charger every month or so. That prevents bleed off of voltage from conductive dirt and compensates for the time spent listening to the radio and keeping the "sleep mode"(from clock, and computer memory) losses to a minimum. One item most people don't know is that an alternator (unlike early cars with generators) are designed to maintain the state of charge in the battery. Begin with a half charge and it will never get much better than that. If you do this, you can get up to two extra years of service from all but the most poorly constructed batteries.

The windows and wipers on my 1998 Expedition dont work. i have checked all the fuses and replaced the relay switch

Hello! Since there isn't any power relationship between the Power Windows and Wipers, I suspect a fault in the vehicle's grounding...The car has some years on it and this type of grounding problem is quite common...If you have a multimeter and a wee bit of experience using it, here is a test procedure to eliminate grounding as the cause...
Set the meter on the X10 ohm scale...Place one probe on the top center of the Negative Battery Terminal and the other probe on Bare Metal of the chassis (fender bolt is a good location)...You must read close to zero ohms...Leaving the probe on the negative battery terminal, move the other probe to Bare Metal on the engine block...Again reading must be close to zero ohms...If you read 500- 2500 ohms Ground Straps need to be installed from the negative battery terminal to the chassis and from there to the engine block...Guru..............Saailer

you mean the compressor stays engaged? or the blower keeps blowing? If the compressor stays engaged the CCRM may be bad. real common. Your dealer will have them in stock. but dont guess, because if you guess wrong, you cant give it back.

Type of battery 1998 ford f150

There really isnt a specific battery type you need, however, if you go to wamart or where ever you go, choose the one desgned for a 98 since the mounts and everything are not generally changes with a motor transplant.

I put a new battery and a altonater and it dont stay charged what could be the probem

You have probably short circuit causing a continuous drain if the battery. Check that your belt is properlu adjusted and in proper direction of spining, check your wires and wire conectors for corrosion.
Check your battery for voltage when engine is running and when engine is off and also check your alternator for voltage.

Head

Cost about $500 or a little more less for a head depending on what type of engine you have. Labor about $200 - $300 to install. Total for one head $ 900 or a little more again depends on what type of motor.
