You wont need to, all you need to do is un screw the nut that holds the wiper blades, adjust to the desired position and re tighten. Easy Fix

You can try disassembling the wiper arm selector switch (mounted inside the steering column) and cleaning up the contacts with contact cleaner and/or repositioning the contact tabs. If that doesn't work, then a new wiper multiswitch is what it needs.

1998 Grand Prix Windshield wiper problem passenger side wiper acts erractically

I assume that the drivers side is working perfectly and only the passanger side has a shorteded erattic sweep . It will be either a loose locking nut on the wiper arm (on spindle) or unusually a faulty crank arm (weld) on the underside of the wiper spindle . Good luck

no need to get to the motor, you need to loosen the bolt that holds the wiper, make sure the wiper is set to off after you loosen the bolts ajust to the desired place and re tighten the bolts that will deffinitaly fix your problem, it fixed mine anyway.
