Can I put a 1997 Astro Van AWD 4.3 Vortec motor into a 1998 GMC Jimmy?

There is no way that everything will be perfect. Although if you take you time and change over the sensors, maybe exhaust manifolds, etc. the motor should work. A little time looking it over several times when it is out of the vehicle will save you a lot of headache later. Please rate my answer so I am rewarded points for it.

I need the timing guide for a 1998 chysler minivan, 3.0

The crankshaft gear marks will line up like 2 triangles pointed at each other, one on the gear one on the block. The cam gears line up to each other, draw a line in-between them, one mark pointing at the other, no marks on the block just the 2 gears lined up to each other. You will need a 1/8 inch and a 6mm allen to adjust the tensioner pulley, You push the 1/8 allen into the pulley and then use a 6mm to turn the tensioner counterclockwise until it locks in position.

1998 jeep wrangler 2.5l amc 4cyl, should timing marks on gears point to each other or away from each other???

In initial install, marks are pointing at each other, but there is another part where you are supposed to turn the crank till the cam mark points to three o'clock, then count pins in chain between both marks: should be 20 pins.then release the tensioner if ok.

How can i tell where my timing points are on my 1998 intrepid with a 3.2 liter v-6 i have the covers off and was told it jumped time but ineed to know how to check my points

By hand turn the engine to bring the crankshaft to TDC, it's about the one o'clock position, you'll see a mark somewhere in that area. The cams will have a mark in the twelve o'clock position between two dots on the back cover.
