Any major brand will do 5w30 or 10w30 wt. plus a delco filter. Do not use fram.

The question i want an answer to was what brand of oil did they use in the buick century custom from the factory.

Hi Keri,if you look in you owners manual,it won't have a brand type,it will have a chart of what grade oil you should use in certain temperatures. Most Buicks have the oil type printed on the oil cap - it will likely be 5W-20, 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-30 or 10W-40. If it isn't printed on the oil cap, check your owners manual for the exact type before adding new oil. Here's a link you may look at. http://www.amsoil.com/mygarage/vehiclelookup.aspx?url2=2000+BUICK+CENTURY+J

What kind of oil did the buick century custom come from the factory using.

Are you asking about the viscosity or brand? The factory recommended viscosity is sometimes listed on the cover where you add oil. Every GM vehicle I've ever owned called for 5W30 viscosity oil.

My 98 Buick Century Custom AC control switch does not change from low to high

This has happened to me before. The problem is the resistor. Power is good, motor is good. Just not when you try to route power through the resistor first. That's why high works but no other setting.

On the buick century which cylinder head is in the front of the engine? Left or right?

The right bank is the front. View your engine from the pulley/belt end.

WHAT BRAND MOTOR OIL IS THE BEST FOR 1998 BUICK CENTURY CUSTOM

There really is no better brand of oil, If you change your oil regularly, you will never have to worry about your engine. If you don't, it doesn't matter if you spend $5000 a qt, it won't do a bit of good, so pick a brand, select a weight in your temperature range, 10/40 is pretty common, maybe 10/30 up north, and get in the habit of changing it every 4,000 miles. I use walmart oil, it is cheaper, but I go through it fast around here, 3 cars, 2 bikes, lawn mowers. Hope this helps.

I have a 1998 buick century limtied

I would suggest buying a Haynes/Chilton book for both models, they may even be one in the same if the years are close enough. Look up the schematics for both and compare the differences circuit by circuit. There may be some slight differences with connection fittings, but thoroughly review the schematic diagrams first.
