2004 Chevy Malibu Classic and my problem is the turn signal

I have a 2004 Chevy Malibu Classic and my problem is that the turn signal will only work for a little bit and then go out and when it does the hazards wont work and you don't hear the clicking that tells you your blinkers on. After turning the car off for an hour or more it will work again and shut off again and nothing work again. I would be grateful for any help.thanks

the hazzard switch is together with the turn signals, so if they are not working properly, check hazzard switch. the switch has a built in timer for hazzards and turn signals.

SOURCE: 2004 Chevy Malibu Classic and my problem is the turn signal

My wife noticed the same problem. One day, she got mad enough to actually start smacking the dashboard directly above the steering wheel, and about 3-4 inches towards the windshield. The blinker started working, but later wouldn't work again. There must be a short under the dash above the steering wheel, but I haven't had the time to take the dash off yet. BTW, she was smacking it pretty hard.

What's your problei have a 2004 chevy malibu classic, when im brakeing and turning to the left the car sounds like a bad bearing but it feels like its binding up. what could be causing this proble

It could be something to do with the rack n pinion. I also own a 2004 chevy malibu classic and I have had to change the "steering rack." Now dont hold me to that, but with a little more info on how the car is acting and driving I may be able to further assist this problem. Hope this helps. Good luck

2004 chevy malibu headlight harness

Find out the model of the light bulb you use and go to an auto parts store. Tell them you need a plug for bulb type xyz. Then just cut and splice the wires together, matching which wire goes where from the faulty plug. Should get the part for under $10.

I have a 2005 chevy malibu classic and the turn signals stops working when it wants to .

You just lost the flasher, right at the steering coumn from underneath to the rght you see a 3 in x 2 in box that is the flasher. this is common failure with the turn signal

2004 Chevy Malibu driver's side turn signal doesn't work

resistance from the bulbs activate the flasher, so if a light is out it won't flash, could be a ground or an open circuit, time to check wiring

It could be a fuse or the flasher unit.
