If the cooling fans are always on when loaded, then a bigger rad will help.

Unless you haul heavy loads or tow a trailer just replace it with the same type that was in there. If the car is overheating in ordinary service the problem is most likely not the radiator. There are many causes for overheating that do not involve the radiator. If the truck is a six and it has brown or yellow oil and the coolant mysteriously disappears you have another problem. The engine needs the intake manifold gaskets replaced. That is a major and rather nasty job. Do yourself a favor and have the truck checked out before you buy any radiator. You could save yourself the cost of a radiator that will do no good.

How do i replace the radiator on my vw golf mk4 1.9tdi year 2000

  • Drain coolant from bottom hose through a valve
  • Disconnect coolant hoses from radiator
  • Remove front body section and move lock carrier to service position
  • Remove retaining clamps from A/C hoses near condenser
  • Unbolt A/C condenser from radiator and support condenser with wire or heavy duty tie wraps Note: Do not discharge the A/C refrigerant. Support the A/C condenser with wire and avoid stretching or kinking the hoses.
  • Remove radiator mounting bolts from both sides and slide radiator slightly to the rear
  • Remove radiator and fans together from below
  • Installation is the reverse of removal

Problems with a replacement radiator.

check that shroud difference is not a fan to core 'clearance' issue.
1. drill new holes in shroud ?
2.fabricate a bracket out of strap steel to bolt them together ? 3. go back to advanced auto for heavy duty ready shroud ?

I have a problem with a 2000 Ford F250. have changed thermostat, water pump and radiator. truck does not overheat, but will force water back out through the reservoir. is it a intake maniford or head...

You have a blown gasket.
You will have to repair it with a new gasket.
First try a quick fix like a Stop Leak for head gasket Bars Leaks or similar heavy duty.

How do i tell if front brakes are heavy duty?

Width of the rotor. 0.54 is regular. If the width from side view is over an inch they are heavy duty. Be sure to use a good quality brake pad, it makes a big difference. Ceramic, not semi-metallic.

try a salvge yard or at Ford dealership,be careful that from 92-96 they have changed alot, between light duty an heavy duty, and the difference in years as well. But i think you will be ok with used from 94-96,and i think that the heavy duty has a ratchet nut verses just a nut to hold the hub on
