If you thought that replacing the cabin filter is easy then the engine filter (which is hold by just a few screws and is easily accessible) will be a 5 minutes job even a kid could do it.

    Hi Thanks for your response.

Do you know how can I do that? I do not see any video online or even a write up. Where do I locate the filter under the hood? What precaution do I need to take?

No special precautions - will should be extremely clumsy to do some damage and you're not.

How to do it, step by step:
1 - Turn the engine ff and locate the plastic panel in the front-corner (driver's side) of the engine compartment -  it's the intake cover.
2 - Pull up the heads on the two intake cover pins with the pliers. Lift the intake cover and move it to the side. This gives you access to the air-filter box
3 - Remove the four bolt-screws from the air-filter box. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver. Two bolt-screws are on the corner edge. One is on top; the other is between the air-filter box and the intake hose.
4 - Pull the plastic clip away from the side. Lift the top of the air-filter box to access the filter.
5 - Replace the filter and put everything back.

Replace cabin filter

Then cabin air filter is located right behind the center stack where the radio and heater controls are. It is fairly easy to get to. I changed mine myself without even taking the glove box out like it says. It's a tight fit but doable. There is small door on the passenger side of the center stack. Open that up and the filter is right behind it. There are videos on YouTube if you are unsure of where exactly it is located. It is the same for years 2007-2012. I have a 2012.

Can't find the ''cabin air filter'' on my 1996 Honda Odyssey

A 1996 Honda Odyssey is not equipped with a cabin air filter. If I was looking for a restriction in the cabin air, the first place I would look is on the inlet side of the A/C condensor. ALL cabin air travels through the A/C condensor ALL of the time. (The heater core only sees air when the temp door is not directing the air around it and always after it has been through the condensor first.) I have seen gunk as hard as concrete clogging the condensor just from layers of dirt that collects on the wet coils then dries.

Where is the cabin air filter of 2005 Odyssey located and how can the cabin filter be changed.

I have a factory manual for 1999-2004 but I believe the filter is in the same location on a 2005. First, you have to remove the glove box. It's a straight forward process with a phillips head screwdriver and a 10mm socket. The filter is in the middle of the black plastic air handler behind the glove box. It is in a vertical slot covered by a narrow "door" with clips on top and bottom. If it has never been changed before, you will have to cut out the horizontal plastic cross brace that kept the dash assembly from warping during manufacture. Cut with a hack saw at each end of the plastic brace and remove it. You'll notice a metal cross brace that can be removed with screws at each end. Once the braces are removed, it is easy to unclip the filter door and replace the filter. Then just put everything back except the plastic cross brace you removed; it can be thrown out.

2002 honda crv air filter change

Hi!

Can you specify if you are referring to the engine intake air filter or the cabin air filter?
If you are referencing the cabin air filter, the attached youtube video should help.

I originally created the video for the Odyssey, but found out after looking at my dad's CRV that it is essentially the same procedure as the Odyssey, and have also noticed that the same stands true for most Honda vehicles built between 2005 and 2009.

Happy motoring!

How to change air filters on 2007 Mercedes C230 Sport

I have '05, both should be similar:
1.Cabin air filter is located above battery on right side against firewall.
Release three latches, remove filter housing, slide old filter out (housing is flexible), insert new
one, reinstall housing.
2.Engine air filter is on the left side of the block (follow intake hose). Cover is retained with six screws
(six point star shape,I belive called Torox, bit/scredriver size 25). Loosen screws (don' t pull all the
way out of the cover) lift cover , and remove old filter. Insert new one, reinstall cover. DO NOT
OVERTORQUE SCREWS! Screw holes in plastic filter housing strip very easily.
Note: Intake hose is very flimsy, one on my car came apart and had to be replaced.

2007 Lexus 350 - How to change the air filter

Jim , you can change both the air and cabin air filters. There are a series off pop pins covering the air intake. If you depress the center button with a BIC pen tip and then lift at the side they will pop up. They are a plastic spring load so be gentle.
Underneath you will find the intake housing and filter. Cabin air filter should be behind the glove box area I
believe .
FYI , Lexus has a patented high volume oil filter. If you change your own , stcik with genuine for longer life, unless you are certain the aftermarket matches

Certain smell is coming out from the air vent everytime i open the A/C.

cabin air filter is inside a compartment behind your glove box. pretty simple to fix if you can figure out how to take off your glove box door. the filter is little different than the air filter, thinner. May help to spray some Frigi-freeze or Fridgi-Fresh stuff on it to help kill bacteria. an auto parts store should have some for the a/c system.
