Question about Ford F-100

I have a 1974 ford f100. when i turn on my right blinker, my left front and rear side marker lights as well as both license plate lights blink, all the right lights blink as well. when i turn on my left blinker only my dash, front and rear lights blink (not the sidemarker lights). then when i turn on my hazards all the lights blink like they should, until i step on the brake. then they stop blinking. it seems as if the right blinker is somehow tied into the hazard lights, but i cannot find where. can you help?

I just want to sugest checking your ignition switch to see if it is sticking to far in the on postion and not bouncing back like it should when you start it. I have had the problem on several ford pickups i have owned. In all the cases it messed the lights up one way or other. Hope this helps. The Raz

When the headlamp switch is placed in the PARKING LAMPS ON position, voltage is supplied to the front parking lamps, the side marker lamps, the rear lamps and license plate lamps.Dash light's also come on with headlamp switch on .

Pinpoint Test N: One or More Parking, Rear or License Plate Lamp Is Inoperative
Normal Operation The central junction box (CJB) provides voltage to the headlamp switch through circuit 29-LE29 (OG/BK). When the headlamp switch is placed in the PARKING LAMPS ON position, voltage is routed to the front parking and side marker lamps through circuits 29S-LF3 (OG/YE), 29S-LF7 (OG/BU), 29S-LF8 (OG), 29S-LF16 (OG/GN) and 29S-LF17 (OG/WH). Voltage is also routed to the rear parking and license plate lamps through circuits 29S-LF11 (OG/WH), 29S-LF20 (OG), 29S-LF21 (OG/WH) and 29S-LF22 (OG/BK). Ground for the front side markers is provided by utilizing the turn lamp circuitry and filaments. Ground is provided through circuits 31-LG11 (BK) and 31-LG18 (BK) to the LH and RH front parking lamps, respectively. Ground is provided through circuits 31-LF23 (BK) and 31-LF24 (BK) to the LH and RH rear parking lamps, respectively. Ground is provided through circuits 31-LF21 (BK) and 31-LF22 (BK) to the LH and RH license plate lamps, respectively.

2003 Jeep liberty right front turn signal

why skip RR lamp? what does IT DO? be like 1st 1st look.
dim, out, fast?

the rapid is talking to you
it means current is wrong,
shorted, or open lines. to the right.
its the wiring
if the bulbs are like 1157 brass base bulbs
why not replace them first , they can short inside,
asking online for guessing is silly, why listen to 10 examples for this.
but is cut wires.
shorted wires.
keep i mind the blinker asks funny for both opens and shorts
its a feature, that.
low current or too much.

the acid test is connect 2 TEST bulbs in parallel to the multi-function switch output right side,
blinks ok now, bingo bad lamps or bad wiring, from there to the right side.

if the hazard fails you never said????
if rigth front is dim or dead the bulb is blown or shorted
if new bulb there , then the wires are shorted.
to it.
the only help on line worth squat is how to test and use your meter.
you can, check for voltage
you can check continuity on that line (its just 1 wire)
and check for shorts on that wire to ground (lamps pulled right side to do that, lamps read 0 ohms cold)
look for collision damage RF? behind lamp sockets?
be first.
in my book.

I have your SM book open now, chapter 8w-50
the haz/blink module has just 2 pins, left and right out.
pin 3 on the module runs front and rear blinks, (a fact to know)
RF is BR/RD, brown -red stripe?
all comments USA on USA forum. USA car.

the right side lamp (sidemaker) only blinks turns if parks ARE oFF

Id try 2 new blinker lamps front and 1 rear.
that be first. or test the lamp on a battery , and no not get burned fingers hot wring a shorted lamp.

wish i knew
what rear did
and what both did on HAZ
out, dim or to fast.

98 nissan altima front left blinker does not work when headlights are on, works when headlights are off but blinks rapidly ,left rear blinker works when headlights are on or off but blinks rapidly also

the rapid blink is because there is a bulb outage some where, Pull Over turn on left Blinker Get out of your car look at the front left blinker hen walk to the rear of your car and look at the left rear Blinker light then do the same for the right side blinkers if all are working rapidly your left right switch is bad

Fast Blinker

Usually a fast turn signal means that there is a light out. You should probably check all of your lights, including back-up lights, and turn signals. If there is one out then replacing the burnt out bulb should fix the problem.
