it is marked with a tiny number if the cap is the original one. otherwise you must find #1 by bring the engine up to top dead center on the compression stroke with the timing marker at zero and see where the distributor rotor is pointed. also u didn't say what engine u have, there were two avail. see diagrams below

What engine do you have? 2.2L SOHC 2.2L SOHC VTEC 2.7L SOHC V-6

The engine is 2.2L,4cly- non Vtec. I know what the firing order is and cylinder numbers. With the cap installed, I would like to know which is the cly #1 spark plug placement. The old cap has been discarded. I always take them on off at a time, but I have messed up.
    Thank you

That would depend on which engine that you have in your Honda Accord.

There are three possibility's according to which engine you have, (2.2 liter, 2.2 liter VTEC, and a 2.7 liter V-6) here are all three diagrams, and I hope that they will be of any help to you.

How do i know in what order do the spark plug wires go in the the distributor cap?

Hopefully the number one wire is indicated on the distributor
cap with a 1. As you look at the engine from the front the
number one cylinder is the first on the right (4-3-2-1). Going
clockwise on the distributor connect the number 1 wire to the
number 1 cylinder spark plug. the next terminal on the distributor
is no 2 then 3 then 4 and your are done. Better yet always replace
or remove wires one at a time returning them to their original positions.

AND 2 AND 4 SPARK PLUGS TERMINAL ON CAP FACING YOU. THIS IS CYLINDERS LOCATIONS STANDING IN FRONT OF ENGINE.RUN WIRES FROM DISTRIBUTOR CAP TO PLUGS TO THE ENGINE SPARK PLUGS.

I dont remember in what order from #1 plug to#6 do the wires go? on chevy 4.3 L

Firing order 1,6,5,4,3,2. To find number 1 plug at distributor set timing mark to top dead center on compression stroke and with distributor cap removed rotor will point to number 1 cylinder in cap. Also number 1 cylinder is on drivers side all the way to the front the next cylinder behind that is number 3 and then 5. So passenger side all the way from front will be 2,4,6 at the firewall. Number 1 plug wire will also be the second longest wire in most cases or as long as number 2 cylinder. Hope this helps.
