A loose gas cap or a bad seal on the cap can possibly cause this.

Testimonial: "I found two small hoses that were disconnected from the back of the box that the air filter goes in. Reconnected them and took and had the code reset. We'll see if that fixes it... If not will replace the gas cap next, noticed some very small cracks in the seal. "

cracks in the gas cap seal will certainly cause this.I would probably replace it and i have also used a small amount of grease on the seal itseft ends to provide a better seal double check the filler neck as well too see if any small deposits of rust may inhibit a good seal

Hyaunda 2010 check engine light code P0442

code p0442 has 2 possible fault areas

evaporative emission (EVAP) system --small leak detected===causes --hose connection/s--intake leak--EVAP canister--EVAP canister purge valve
    and the second possible

evaporative emission system--large leak detected (fuel cap loose/off)===causes--mechanical fault---hose connection/s---EVAP pressure sensor

    Check engine light stays on

code p0460 refers to fuel tank level sensor--circuit malfunction===causes ---wiring---fuel tank level sensor---ECM. However in the Volvo section there is a p1446 code that refers to evaporative emission (EVAP) leak detection pump---signal malfunction====causes wiring--poor connection---EVAP leak detection pump.
Go back to who read the codes and ensure that the right code was told to you.l

    P4056

As far as I know there is no code number p4056 in the Toyota code book. It might be:
    Error Code: P0456 Fault:
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System - Small Leak Detected
    Possible Cause:
    Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active.
    Fuel Cap not fully attached.
    Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System leaking/faulty.
    Evaporative emission (EVAP) pressure sensor.
    Possible Solutions:
    Check Fuel Cap.
    Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System.

    P0455 and p0442

p0455-- emission control system ( a large leak ) the most common cause is a bad seal on fuel cap, remove and replace cap, if light stats on. replace cap. if not the cap it could be any where in emission system. p0442 is--same as above. Code p0442 indicates a fuel vapor leak in the EVAP control system. To fix this problem, remove and reinstall the gas cap. Clear the codes and drive to see if the codes reappear. If the code appears again replace the gas cap or inspect the system for cuts or holes in the tube or hose. good-day !

    Check engine light code PO442

You likely won't notice any drivability problems. P0442 indicates a fuel vapor leak in the EVAP control system. It means a very small leak has been detected. In fact, the leak can be from a hole as small as 0.04" in diameter.
The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage.
Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.

With a P0442, the most common repair is to Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back. Otherwise, replace the gas cap, or Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses.

Good luck and hope this helps
