The plug should be along the bottom of dash, near the drivers knee area.

I have a 1992 GMC Sonoma 4.3L, and once in awhile, when I go to take off, the truck will start to sputter and die. It starts back up after I actuallu floor the gas pedel, then the idle is really high?...

It is possible and also a cheap easy place to start. I would also test your fuel pump by perfoming a fuel pressure test by using a fuel pressure gauge. When was the last time you tuned up your truck? You may also have an EGR valve that may be sticking open. You may have other sensors that may be causing your problem but you will need to be plugged into a scanner to help troubleshoot those.

I need to know the timing marks for installing the timing chain and in 1992 GMC sonoma st in the firing order on the distributor and the engine block.

I highly recommend you get the Haynes repair manual on your vehicle. The Haynes Manual has photo references that show the alignment as well as a diagram of the firing order on the Distributor. Typically the #1 is marked on the the Distributor cap and they are sequential clockwise after that. The Firing order is actually controlled by the order you connect the wires to the Distributor.

bottom rear of engine on the passenger side, the starter is serviced from under the car. it is held to the engine block with two bolts, then u must remove the battery cable and starter solenoid wiring as well, always disconnect the battery before doing any work on the starter.
