Question about Chevrolet Chevy

Open Question

My 1968 Chevy C10 pickup has an 6 cylinder engine that was replaced many moons ago - I believe the engine came from a Chevy station wagon from around that same year - Engine code is F1002CO and 18K117913 - Can anyone decode please - Thanks, Tom

SOURCE: what engine size do i have? chevy 1968 c10 vin

Check this website and double check your vin number to see if its correct. That way you can determine what you have for your engine sixze. If your engiune number had CE at the very beginning it would be a replacement Crate Engine. Yours is not a crate engine replacement as far as I can tell from the numbers you posted

What is the towing capacity 2007 holden vz station wagon? 6 cylinder

Its usually in the drivers handbook. Probably around 2/3rds the vehicle weight with a braked trailer. Call a local towbar fitter who may have an all makes reference book.

We've replaced the distributor cap and rotor in our 1985 Chevy C10 305 V8 and still have to fire TO the plugs. It won't start

This is a one piece distributor. It has the coil and pickup sensor all built in. Check and see if you have 12 volts on the large red wire that plugs into the cap while the key is on. (The other wire is for a tachometer if you have one). If you have power and there is no spark from your ignition wires, your pickup module is bad in the distributer. Very rarely have I seen a failed coil.
