2000 gmc jimmy 4X4 how do i know what size rear axel do i need there is like 6 different ones

If you are talking about gear ratio, there is probably a tag on one of the bolts that holds the inspection plate to the housing. It should tell you the gear ratio and ring gear size. If its not there you can pull that plate off (be sure to have an oil catch pan under it) and look at the ring gear itself. All of that same information will be stamped on the ring gear, on the surface of the gear facing you. You may need to rotate it so you can see the stamp.

What is the axel ratio if a chevy silverado 2500 HD gas 6.0

You would need the option code to find out what your truck has.
The sticker is usually in the glove box or on the door post.
The dealer can help with the details.

Hello.... I hear some big noise in the rear axle (differential);so i have to change it,but only found the rear axle of a L300 petrol one, when mine is a diesel. So, are rear axles Mitsubishi L 300 gasoline...

While I am uncertain, sadly no diesel here in the USA (danged EPA) I would expectthe diesel rear axel to have a different ratio from the gasoline, as the diesels run slower. You should be able to manually turn the yoke on the rear-end and count the revolutions for the axel to make one full revolution. With this you will be able to determine the rear-eand gear ratios.

Best of luck!

How do I get more power out of my 1992 4runner on a budget starting what I should do to the existing stock platform ?

The best thing you can do is replace the gear in your rear differential to a lower ratio gear. For example if you have a 3.42 to 1 axle ratio then you should go with a 3.73 to 1 axle ratio. It will cost you a $200 to $300 if you do the work yourself and it is fairly simple. Your engine, like most japanese engines, have very little torque and a lower rear axel ratio will help but it will also limit your high end speed. You can add a high flow intake with K & N air filter and a Flowmaster exhaust for about $250, $40 and $180 respectively. They will all help but really there is only so much you can do.

Replace rear Axel !999 Ford F150 2 Wheel Drive

Fairly simple job...Unbolt everything connected to it, take it out, put new one in and replace everything you unbolted. Support the frame, so you can get the unit out and nothing but the diff comes down after all hardware is out. Most bolts are really tight and rusted , so be prepared to have them fight you and when getting one from junkyard, ask if you can have the hardware with the unit so you have spares on hand.
When buying the replacement, make sure it has the correct size driveshaft yoke on it.
This is a good opportunity to custom tailor the diff to your needs...count the ring gear teeth on yours and then divide by the number of teeth on the pinion this gives you the ratio. If you do a lot of low speed driving and pulling loads, you may want to change to a 3.90 ratio or even a 4.11. If you do a lot of long high speed driving, go to a 2 series rear ratio. If you are happy with what you had, match that. (changes require speedometer gear change or it will be a bit off)
Always change the diff lube when you change a diff. Never buy one without removing the cover and looking at gears and checking for fine metal in the lube.
Good luck!
