It is in the low side, it is either in the large low side ac line or in the round cannister called the accumulator near the engine firewall

How to recharge a.c. unit on a 2007 pt cruiser

First locate and repair the leak responsible for losing refrigerant. A good place to start is to carefully tighten all of the joints, fittings that exist in the AC plumbing. Then run the car at 3000 rpm , turn AC to full output, and add the necessary amount of refrigerant as per specs. If you have gauges keep adding refrigerant until the suction side pressure gets to about 30 lbs. Good to do it under normal ambient conditions - suction line will get cold and be sweating.

Where is the Lower Port so you can put Refrigerant for the A/C?

You add refrigerant to the port on the suction line of car. And if you are using 134a refrigerant, the manifold hose will only fit the suction line port so you do not have to worry about using the wrong one. Locate the two pipes going to the compressor - the one that is not hot is the suction line - follow it back till you come across the port.

I bout freon for my endeavor but i dont know where to put it i need to know where it is located and how to put it in thanks!!1

not sure exactly were the service port is but, it is the port with the smallest cap that is the suction line just add the refrigerant with the car running.I would reccomend having a vacum pulled on the system before charging it.Your local shop can do this for you.

What size is high pressure hose and suction hose for a 94 toyota 4X4 22RE 4 cylinder

I'm assuming you are asking about the air conditioning hoses. If you are trying to add refrigerant you need to put it in the suction hose. If you are using the cans from the auto parts store, it will only fit on the suction side of the system. They have tried to dummy-proof the connections so you don't blow the can up. The suction side will be the larger hose. Also, there will usually be insulation covering the hose and or lines. The refrigerant port is just above the compressor. If your system has leaked off, try a leak sealer with an indicator in it. You use a blacklight to find the leak. If you really want the leak fixed without tearing the system apart use Superseal. This stuff is so good that it seals up the hose that comes on the can. You can't re-use it.

2000 ford taurus low end ac valve

please rate as fixed if this helps you.

The low pressure service gauge port valve is located on the evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line.

The evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line contains low pressure refrigerant gas and is equipped with a serviceable low pressure A/C charge valve port.

I dont know where to add freeon to my 1999 kia sportage 4x4

Find the A/C compressor. Look a both lines going to it. One line should be bigger than the other. The bigger line is the Low Side (suction port) follow that line it goes to the firewall to the evaporator that is in your dash. The low side pressure port is somewhere in that line between the evaporator and the compressor. That port is where you check low side pressure and add freon. Don't worry if you buy a charging kit from a part store you can't hook it up wrong, the low side port and the high side port are different sizes and the hose won't fit. With the A/C running on high, low side pressure should be about 35psi.

if you notice the size of them , the bigger port is the high side , and the smaller of the 2 is the low side , you will add freon to the smaller port - the low / suction side .

hi bighobo,

first, locate the bigger hose that comes out of your compressor that goes to your firewall towards the evaporator, that is the suction hose. look for some fittings that comes out of that pipe and covered by a plastic cap. that is the pressure port where you can add freon.
