I have a 1992 gmc Sonoma 4.3 vin z, I ran out of gas put gas it started just fine 3 times stoped filled tank, drive 1.2 miles it died , and won't start, replaced fuel pump , checked all fuses

Test for spark at the plugs and post back. Also, spray a little carb cleaner into throttle body and then try to start it to see if it is a fuel issue.

I have a 1992 gmc sonoma and it starts fine when its cold and runs good but when it warms up it dies and wont stay running and sometimes wont start till it sits for 15 20 min

sounds like a bad ignition module check for spark when it dies if you do not have spark at plugs check between coil and coil wire if still no spark most likely module it is under rear of distributer cap resembles a black wafer board with two electrical plugs

Need to know how to set linkage on 1992 GMC Sonoma

With the car not running, get someone to push the pedal all the way down and check to see if the throttle valve is fully open.
If it is, chances are the engine is being starved of fuel (plugged fuel filter, plugged or undersized supply line, faulty pump, faulty regulator, etc.) - check the fuel pressure at the engine.
If it isn't, there is probably no cable adjustment and you will have to replace the linkage cable.

My 1992 sonoma started spuddering after I had the fuel pump, screen, and filter replaced on it. It started off a few seconds of it, gradually increased to 20 sec, then a min or two. Now it just runs bad...

First I would check the air filter, then clean the throttle body, use brake clean and a small brush, clean the opening and open the throttle plate and clean as much as possible on the back of the plate and down in the throttle. start the engine and rev up, spray the brake clean in the throttle, you don't have to use all of it. also do you have a check engine light?

Have you check the injector relay or maybe a fuse for injectors.
