Would Dura-Seal eliminate the problem of a blown head gasket 0n a 1997 Cadillac Eldorado?

No it would not. The same as chemi-weld. Good to get you home but full of problems later. To fix a blown head gasket pull the head ,have it machined flat and refit using a genuine gasket. (after market do not have all the holes in the right places )

If you are loosing coolant and cant find any leaks check your oil level. If oil level is have blown a head gasket or cracked a head. Common when an engine over heats badly.

My have a blown head gasket on my 2000 Honda Accord V6. What could have led to this problem?

most common causes of blown head gaskets are engine overheating. could be caused radiator cooling fans inoperative, cooling system leaks, clogged radiator passages,or sticking thermostat. if a head gasket is severely blown the cooling system will pressurize very rapidly on cold engine startup. other more rare cases of head gaskets blowing could be loose head bolts. make sure new head bolts are used and torqued correctly if service manuals recommend new head bolts.

The car is overheating and loosing coolant from the drivers side it looks to be near the moter mount bracket and there is alot of white smoke coming out the tailpipe any ideas the person we bouht it from...

It sounds like your Water Pump is either leaking, you have a blown head gasket, or cracked block/head. Perform a cylinder compression check on each cylinder to check from a cracked head or blown head gasket. If the compression check turns out to be within specifications, you may just need a new water pump/seal.

A head gasket is blown. RUns rough and heats up. Someone told me that I could change the oil very regularly and that I would be able to drive the car? Sounds like BS??? Do I just dump this thing? If...

That is BS. There is a product on the market called Blue Devil that works well if you follow the instructions. You will need to change the oil if it is creamy. I would only do this if you do not have money to have the head pulled and the gasket changed. The heads could also be warped. I have had some customers that wanted to do this wrather than repair it correctly, and have had three out of four successes. Hope this info was of good use to you.

1993 Subaru Legacy Sedan 2.2 liter engine, has and over heating problem. Replaced thermostat, replaced water pump, and replaced radiator with all new. Still over heating! Any ideas??

Usually the main reason for a Subaru to over heat is a blown head gasket. If it is pushing fluid out through the overflow bottle. I would suspect a blown head gasket.
